Uri Geller
Biography:
Uri Geller was born in Tel Aviv. He is the son of Jitschak and Margarete Géller. In 1967 he fought in the six-day-war, there he got wounded. After that, he worked as a photomodel. In 1969 he started to bend spoons – The spoon is Uri Gellers most important tool. His extraordinary abilities were discovered by Andrija Puharich. In 1970 he had bulimia (=Magersucht) and panic attacks. 1988 Uri Geller tried to be a cosmetician. Now he lives in London, and owns about 50 million dollars. Since 1991 he is married with Hannah Geller. He has two children with her; they are called Daniel and Natalie.
Gellers carrier as a magician:
In the 70-es Geller had lots of appearances (=Auftritte) on TV. In this shows he made watches and clocks working that had stopped ticking and bent spoons (this were two of his most important tricks). He says, he has his abilities from planet “Hoova”, from god and from other high mights. To this day, nearly every trick of him could be explained.
Uri Gellers prognoses:
In 1970 he Uri Geller prognosticated, that Egypt’s president Nasser would have a long life and that king Hussein of Jordan would die. President Nasser died 8 months later, but Hussein had a long life. Another prognostication was that England would play against Germany and beat them in the European championship, but England beat Germany. So, he prognosticates everything backwards.
