Characters:
Victoria Gibson, a young girl, also called Vicky, is adopted from Mr. and Mrs Gibson. She is very good in programming computers, because her father, who works in a bank, shows her nearly everything he knows. Her brother, Richard Gibson or Gib, is not very interested in computers and such things. There are also Beth Carter (aunt from Gib and Vicky) and Sebastian Carter (uncle from Gib and Vicky), who are also working at the bank.
They all live in England.
The Story:
In the beginning Vicky had a math exam and she used her programmable calculator to finish the exam. The teacher saw that and brought her to the headmaster who gave her a letter for her parents. When she came home her mother told her that her father got arrested. It looked like Mr. Gibson had stolen 1 million pounds from the bank. Vicky and Gib had known in a second that their dad was innocent. But they could not proof it.
Vicky hacked in her dad’s account from the bank. She printed out a list from all users at the bank. But next morning two people came and take the PC and the modem with them.
They needed a new computer and Gib had an idea! They could use the computer at school. So they went to school and hacked in the bank server. Vicky had made a program which allows her to find out the password from one of the users! They found out that the bank program had done a mistake. A program, which should be tested before begin to work had not been tested and so someone could do the million pounds on Mr. Gibson’s account.
They had not found out everything and they knew that there must be something they do not knew. After a few days Vicky went to their aunt and uncle to use their PC. They allowed her to use it for one hour because they had a fly to Rio at three thirty. So Vicky hacked in at the bank server again and then she got her last information to proof that her Dad was not guilty.
Her aunt had got to login names for two bank servers. The first user name was created before she get married and the second with her new name after her wedding. The bank had forgotten to delete the old username and so it was not under control.
When she found out that, Sebastian was standing behind her. He told her that he and her wife had given the money on Mr. Gibson’s account so that all the people who are working at the bank look at him. But in the background he and Beth had stolen 7 million pounds from the bank and that they are going to fly to Rio and never come back.
Vicky tried to call help but Sebastian and Beth put her into the cellar and locked the door. After an hour, Sebastian and Beth had already been on the airport, Gib came to the house were his aunt and uncle lived and found Vicky.
Chaucy, a friend of them, helped them to go to the airport. There they found out which airplane flows to Rio and they intercept Beth and Sebastian at the terminal. Together with an officer from the airport they went to a room. But they could not find the money from Beth or Sebastian. So they nearly escaped.
In the last moment Vicky saw the earrings from her aunt Beth and told the officer to study them. The officer caught them and later they found out that the two earrings were 7 million pounds worth. Beth and Sebastian got in prison and Mr. Gibson was free again.

Personal opinion:
The book is great. It is very interesting and has a lot of thrilling scenes in it. The only disadvantage is that the book is a bit old, written in 1992, and so the computers are from that time, but is doesn’t matter.
It was a lot of fun to read this book and it is not difficult to understand.
I would recommend this book to a friend if he or she would ask me if I have a good book that is interesting and thrilling at the same time!
