Christina Aguilera
Christina Maria Aguilera was born in December 18th in 1980 in New York to parents Fausto Aguilera and Shelly Fidler. She came to her Grandmother, when she was six years old. Her grandmother was the first one, who recognized the vocal skills from Christina. After Christina failed to win on Star Search, she tried again in another TV-show with the age of 10. She was successful!
So she started her career as an active songwriter and singer in 1998, after she was working in shows like The New Mickey Mouse Club.
Her first Hit was 'Genie in a Bottle' which ran to the top of the charts. Her next Hit was 'What a Girl Wants', which was the first number one hit of the year 2000. And now, 2006 she sang her 3rd Studio Album “Back to Basics”, with the hit single "Ain't No Other Man"!
To her charity work:
She performed a charity banquet in South Africa in late 2005 with stars such as Diana Ross and Westlife in aid of Unite Against Hunger. She has also performed at the Nelson Mandela Children's Fund at the Coca-Cola Dome. And she is fighting against AIDS.
I like her, because she has a really powerful voice and she knows how to use it!
I mean, if I am feeling bad, I hear a bit of Christina Aguilera’s music, and I am up to scratch again.
